Conference Championship Game Questions

On today’s Bob and Chris Show we are going to talk about deregulating the college football conference championship games.  In the past a conference has had to have at least 12 in the league, split in to two divisions, play a round robin within the division, and a handful of games from the other division.  Then the two winners could meet in a championship game the first weekend in December to decide the conference championship.

The Big 12 has been making noise about wanting a title game to be played, even though they don’t have 12 members.  It appears the NCAA is going to let conferences do whatever they want beginning in 2016.

Chris and I will discuss it today at 1 and take your input on what you think the Mountain West should do.

I think changing the system based on one years experience might necessarily produce the desired results for any conference hosting a title game.
