The Boise Basin Boosters, a non-profit organization, which provides community support for Placerville, and surrounding areas, is having their 3rd annual “Hot August Nights”. There will be fun events throughout the day, such as the dunk tank-choose your victim and cake walk. There is a minimal charge for these events. For five dollars you can be a part of the “Dutch Oven Cook-Off”, judging will be held at 5:00 p.m.; prizes will be awarded. There will be a potluck at 6:00 p.m. with the Boise Basin Boosters providing the meat, which is a roasted hog prepared in the Hog Roaster by Placerville’s famous cook George Butters. Carolyn Garrison has donated a beautiful quilt which will be raffled off at 7:00p.m. Please come and join us for a fun filled day!
